Hm, the plugin is not available through the WordPress site at all anymore?!? Did something happen?

A plugin related question: How can I insert the widgets by hand in a theme with no widget support?

There is a problem with assigned forums.
If i assign a forum to automatically make a post, then
1) wordpress gives me a 500 SERVER ERROR all the time (thinks a lot too), but still makes a post in correspondig froum as well as wordpress front page but,
2) topic on forum is created from a "guest" for some reason.

Another bug – While enabled this does not allow you to change any custome menus you have in place.

This plugin sounds promising with an impressive features list. However, after reading all the posts regarding bugs, I"m concerned to see no responses from the plugin developers to users' feedback. Is this plugin still in development or is it already dead?

I've tried a few phpbb to WP converters and wasted a lot of time and effort trying to make them work, to no avail. I'm hoping to finally get a good solution, but need to be assured I've found the right answer this time. I shall be watching this to see how the developers answer to and address users' problems.

Hi, I did a donation with Version 2.0.6 of the plugin, but after entering the serial and pressing the remove backlink button, nothing happens. The backlink is still there.

Clearing cache and an other browser did not help.

What can I do.

Regards, Christian

The bridge gives me several problems:

After i assigned a forum for creation of new topic based on WP posts, when i press "publish" the server gives me a straight 500 ERROR, but the post goes through and topci is created as well but from a "guest" and not from me as an author. THis is very annoying,

Hello, I am a user of your wordpress plugin "WP phpBB Bridge". I would like to have a theme in my line below the navigation bar that would have the options of widget like new message, profile, search, list of members, connections, active topics View, User control panel, Total Posts, New PM's unread PMs.
As on the following websites: http://lost-site.com and http://www.heroes-france.com
How much you ask to give me the php code so I can make the changes?
Sincerely, Marc Dubois

I loaded this plug in (I have looked forward to it) but ran into several issues…
I was able to install all widgets in sidebar before activation.
I was then forced out of my admin panel and directed to phpbb3.
I uninstalled and reinstalled (I am using MU WP) .
Now I dont have a menu to add widgets and they are not showing up.
I even changed admin to the phpbb3 in advance for second attempt.
Can you gude me through this install to ensure that it works correctly?

Hi, just for some clarification, does the WordPress installation need to be hosted on the same server as the phpBB installation, or can this be used to bridge WP and phpBB installations that are in two separate locations?

Thanks

Rob

Hi, I tried to activate the phpBB bridge in WordPress but it keeps saying that the path to config.php does not exist. I see the path to my config.php file in my database, and I've used this same path to start a forum and it worked. Why is WordPress & this plug-in not seeing the config.php file? Please help.

Hello. I am having problems with accessing the WordPress control panel when I have the bridge active. It logs me in via the phpBB forum and sends me back to the wordpress site, which shows links for editing the posts, but when I try to do so, it sends me back to the phpBB to login again–endless loop.

I’ve very dangerous problem. I’ve 2 registred users in my WP (v3.3.1) and many users in phpbb (v3.0.10) forum. 2 registred users are copy of 2 users from forum. When I logging into them – they synhronizing (it’s good). First of them is administrator of blog and it’s creator. When other peoples (from other computers, where I never was) login into WP with your plugin (v2.0.5) activated, they became 1-st user with their own names. They become administrators of blog (with administrator’s name, but with their own e-mails – it’s strange). How this can be???

I see that problem, when user in phpbb base has Cyrillic name. I used plugin which activate registration cyrillic names in WP, but problem doesn’t go away.

Hello. Thank you for the plugin. I have not been able to get the blog posts to become forum posts yet, but other than that it seems to work great.

My question is regarding the latest post widget. Is there a way to set this up so it does now list the title or links to threads on the forum that are not yet approved and posted? Thank you

It doesn't log me out on both wordpress and phpbb if I hit logout. And I want to redirect to my website, not to the forums. Then the users can just click the forums link and it will go to the forum.
